The Banach Center is part of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IM PAN).
ANNUAL CALL FOR PROPOSALS CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The Banach Center (BC), as a part of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, is open to all mathematicians from all countries to organize scientific meetings. The Center is formally supervised by Adam Skalski, the Deputy Director of the Institute for scientific matters. Main forms of such activities are the following:
- Conferences, usually one week - one month long, with at least 25 participants.
- Workshops, usually one week - two weeks long, with the number of participants ranging from 10 - 25.
- Research groups. Groups from 2 to 10 people.
- Banach Center Colloquium – lectures which are given by the top specialists in a field, organized in cooperation with the Polish Mathematical Society.
The Banach Center publishes the series of proceedings Banach Center Publications.
The scientific activities can take place in the Banach Center in Warsaw or in the Mathematical Conference Center in Będlewo near Poznań.
