EPDI FELLOWSHIPS
Since 1998
the Banach Center is a member of European
Post-Doctoral Institute for Mathematical Sciences (EPDI), a network of 11 European research institutes,
which offer a number of post-doctoral fellowships each year.
The EPDI
was founded in October 1995 with the common goal to encourage the mobility of
young scientists on a European scale. Each year, 5 laureates (either European,
or with a PhD validated in Europe) and 1 Japanese fellow of all mathematical
background, are selected by an International Jury on the basis of excellence.
Candidates should propose an itinerary with visits
to at least 2 EPDI institutes,
conducting scientific activities related to the areas of interest of the
candidate. The duration of visits may vary, but should in principle not exceed
12 months.
Please,
take a look at EPDI flyer for more information.
Banach
Center hosts EPDI fellows visiting it for at least 3 months either:
willing
to collaborate with mathematicians at Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy
of Sciences. EPDI applicants should contact potential collaborators and obtain
an acceptance letter from their research group;
willing to participate in BC-IMPAN Research Programme. EPDI applicants should contact the Programme main
coordinator, Professor Stanisław Janeczko,
through the Banach Center office.
