Streszczenie
The functional equation $$ \frac{F(x)-F(y)}{x-y}=\frac{G(x)+G(y)}{H(x)+H(y)}% $$ where $F,G,H$ are unknown functions is considered. Some motivations, coming from the equality problem for means, are presented.
