PhD scholarships!
If you are looking for a PhD project related to symmetric functions, algebraic or/and enumerative combinatorics and you are interested in working within our group, check out the details below (here is the information in Polish).
About the project: We are developing combinatorial methods to investigate problems originating from the following fields: representation theory, probability theory, enumerative geometry, and matrix models. The research problems undertaken by the candidate may pertain to only one of the mentioned fields, depending on their preference.
Requirements: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, physics or computer science. Future scholarship holders are expected to actively engage in scientific research activities related to the research grant, with the aim of presenting the obtained results in scientific journals and at scientific conferences, as well as actively participating in research group meetings.
Scholarship contract:
- Scholarship contract for 24 months with a possibility of extension. Start date is negotiable but should not be later than 1 October 2024. The condition for receiving the scholarship is to be enrolled as a doctoral student in Poland not earlier than on 1 October 2022.
- Scholarship of 5000 PLN per month. The scholarship is tax-free, paid in full and may constitute an additional scholarship to the doctoral scholarship of the candidate.
- The fellow must respect the NCN rules of funding.
Required application documents:
- CV that includes a description of scientific achievements, awards and distinctions,
- description of scientific interests,
- list of publications (if applicable), talks during conferences and seminars.
