On Wednesday 26th September after lunch we offer two different excursions to choose from.
The cost of participation will depend on the chosen option and the size of the group. It should not be greater then 25 PLN. You should buy tickets for public transportation by yourself.
Option 1: Łazienki Park and the Palace on the Isle
This excursion is a guided tour from IMPAN to the Łazienki Park - the largest park in Warsaw. During this trip you will also visit the Palace on the Isle.
It will start at 14:15 and it should take about 3h.

- The Old Guardhouse
- Chinese garden
- Palace on the Isle
- Classical amphitheater
- Myślewicki Palace
- King John III Sobieski monument
How to get back to IMPAN:
To get to IMPAN you should take 2 stops from bus stop Plac na Rozdrożu 06 to bus stop Metro Politechnika. Any of the following bus numbers is fine: 143, 151, 182, 187, 188, 411, 502, 514, 520, 523, 525.

Option 2: Old Town
This excursion is a guided tour from IMPAN to the Old Town. It will start at 14:30 and it will take about 3h. The length of the walk is about 4,5km. The tour ends at Plac Krasińskich.

- socialist realism style of architecture in Warsaw: Constitution Square and Palace of Culture and Science
- history of famous varsovian chocolate brand - Wedel: original pre-war buildings of factory and shop
- Pilsudski's Square and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
- The Royal Route: in Chopin footsteps, Copernicus monument, Staszic Palace - seat of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Presidential Palace, in Maria Sklodowska-Curie footsteps
- The Old Town: the Castle Square, Archcathedral of St. John, Main Market Square, Warsaw's Mermaid monument, medieval city walls, Warsaw Uprising monument, Jewish Ghetto boundary marker
How to get back from Plac Krasińskich to IMPAN:
To get to IMPAN you should take metro from the station Metro Ratusz Arsenał in the direction Metro Kabaty. You should get off at the station Metro Politechnika (three stops).
