Practical info
The conference takes place in the Mathematical Research and Conference Center in Będlewo near Poznań. The Center, which is a facility of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center, is located at the border of a beautiful region of the National Park of Wielkopolska, among forests and lakes. The participants are accommodated in the conference hotel in Będlewo. The meals are served at the Będlewo Palace, which is a part of the Center.
The expected arrival day is Sunday, 18 March 2018 (afternoon), and the departure day is Friday, 23 March 2018 (afternoon) or Saturday, 24 March 2018. The talks start on Monday (morning) and end on Friday (afternoon).
The hotel reception is open 24 hours a day. The lecture rooms are equipped with computer projectors, overhead projectors (suitable also for displaying printed paper or handwriting) and blackboards. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection available throughout the Center buildings. You can use a reading room, computer rooms, leisure room (table tennis, billiard) and a bar. Note that the Center is located outside the city - for shopping or sightseeing you can go to Poznań (half an hour ride by taxi).
The currency used in Poland is Polish zloty (PLN), check the current rates. Please note that there are no ATMs in the Conference Center.
The weather in March is usually changeable. It may be sunny with temperatures around 10-15 degrees Celsius, but also snowy and frosty. We advise to check the weather forecast before your leave.
