Algebraic Geometry - Mariusz Koras in memoriam
The main aim of the conference is to commemorate the work and life of prof. Mariusz Koras, who passed away in September 2017, and to discuss research progress in complex algebraic geometry with special regard to the areas related to his scientific activity.
Main topis include: affine varieties, their automorphisms and group actions on them, linearization problem, logarithmic Kodaira dimension, Koras-Russell threefolds and other exotic spaces, relations to A1-homotopy, singularities, affine fibrations, planar embeddings of curves, rational curves, log uni-ruledness, log minimal model program, Cremona transformations, relations of birational and affine geometry. There will be several talks by young participants.
The conference takes place at: Institute of Mathematics, Polish Academy of Sciences, ul. Śniadeckich 8, 00-656 Warsaw: see google maps
