Abstract
Let $X$ be a smooth algebraic hypersurface in ${\mathbb C}^n.$ There is a proper polynomial mapping $F: {\mathbb C}^n \to {\mathbb C}^n$, such that the set of ramification values of $F$ contains the hypersurface $X$.
