We are pleased to announce that the 7th German Polish Conference on Optimization - Methods and Applications will be held at the Mathematical Research and Conference Center (MRCC) of IM PAN in Będlewo near Poznań, Poland on August 27 – September 1, 2017.
The present conference is a continuation of the German Polish Conference on Optimization series, which has been held in Żagań (1999), Cottbus (2002), Będlewo (2005), Moritzburg (2009), Kraków (2011) and Wittenberg (2014).
The main topics of the meeting will include (and will not be limited to) the following general areas of recent research progress:
- - theory of smooth and non-smooth optimization,
- variational problems and variational inequalities, - - optimal control,
- - inverse and ill-posed problems,
- - solution methods,
- - applications of optimal control and mathematical programming.
The goal of GPCO2017 is to provide a forum for scientists and researchers to exchange ideas and approaches, to present research findings and state-of-the-art solutions, to share experiences on potentials and limits, and to open new avenues of research and developments, on issues and topics related to optimization and its applications.
We would like to encourage young scientist (with the Ph.D. diploma obtained during last 5 years) and Ph.D. students to participate in the conference. They can apply for financial support.
