The Council of Directors of the Scientific Units of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) has established the Committee on the Finances of Scientific Units of the Academy. Dr. Karol Palka, Director of IM PAN, has been appointed as the Chair of the Committee.
The Committee's tasks include providing the Council with recommendations on the financing of the statutory activities of the Academy's scientific units. We sincerely congratulate Dr. Palka on his appointment.
