We are pleased to announce that Prof. Błażej Wróbel, a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, has received the prestigious 2026 Frontiers of Science Award.

The award was granted for the paper Dimension-free estimates for discrete Hardy-Littlewood averaging operators over the cubes in ℤ^d, co-authored by Jean Bourgain, Mariusz Mirek, Elias M. Stein, and Błażej Wróbel. The paper concerns dimension-free estimates for discrete Hardy–Littlewood averaging operators and belongs to an important area of contemporary harmonic analysis.

The awarded paper was published in the American Journal of Mathematics. Its co-authors include mathematicians of the highest international standing, among them Jean Bourgain, a Fields Medalist, and Elias M. Stein, one of the leading figures in harmonic analysis.

The award will be presented during the International Congress of Basic Science, to be held in Beijing in August. The Frontiers of Science Award recognizes outstanding scientific achievements from recent years in the basic sciences.

We warmly congratulate!
