Brief Project Description:
The goal of the investment is a new, modern conference-auditorium hall for 160 attendees, with sanitary and technical facilities allowing for multifunctional use at the Research and Conference Center of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Będlewo. This investment involves the renovation and adaptation of the former pigsty building, which is part of the palace-park complex in Będlewo, for scientific and research purposes.
The Research and Conference Center of IMPAN in Będlewo is an international mathematical center where IMPAN, through its Stefan Banach International Center, conducts conferences, workshops, research groups, and other activities serving scientific research. Annually, about 20 conferences are held in Będlewo, with a total of approximately 1,500-2,500 participants, half of whom are from abroad. The lack of an appropriate auditorium that can accommodate about 160 people, which includes all conference participants housed on the premises and local participants (from Poznań), is a significant weakness of the Center.
