CONFERENCES ON THE APPLICATIONS OF MATHEMATICS
The 45th National Conference on the Applications of Mathematics was held in the resort Siwarna in Zakopane-Kościelisko on 6-13 September 2016.
The next, 46th National Conference on the Applications of Mathematics is going to be held in in the resort Siwarna in Zakopane-Kościelisko on 5-12 September 2017.
The Conference Organising Committee is appointed by the Mathematics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences in agreement with the Mathematical Center for Science and Technology of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Society of Actuaries.
The objective of the annual conference is to present mathematical methods applicable in various disciplines of the national economy, in particular in the industry, insurances, finance, banking, railway industry and transport, etc.
The participants of the conference have the possibility to present, during proper thematic sessions, mathematical models they constructed.
Starting from the 30th Conference, each year we fund the prize for young mathematicians (up to 32 years old) for the best paper presented at the conference.
Previous prize-winners
The authors of outstanding papers and scientific contributions are invited to publish the results of their work in the magazine Mathematica Applicanda.
